Start the quest by speaking with Head Researcher Sobling on the bridge that leads into Giants Cave.

The mobs will drop ancient parchments that open up into book chapters and other things when you double click on them. The drop rate on these is quite low.

Collect all the book and blueprint chapters. Once you have all 5 chapters of one type return to Sobling who will give you a random recipe reward. Giants Doodles and Loveletters that you get should be sold to the NPC shop in town.

While hunting if you earn a mysterious book, show it to Sobling. This is the quest item that activates the second half of this quest.
